The Sealmaster MFC-47 is a flange-mount ball bearing unit with a 2-15/16 inch bore. It is designed to be mounted onto bearing surfaces that are perpendicular to the shaft axis. The housing is made of solid cast iron for rigidity and vibration damping and has machined foot pads. It also has a grease fitting on the outer surface for reapplying lubricant. A cylindrical pilot extension on the back face provides accurate placement in the mounting surface bore during installation and increases stability during operation.
