The multiblade (MI) fan is the most common type used in the heat treating industry. Commonly referred to as “squirrel cage”, our MI fans are usually specified for large volumes of flow against low to medium static pressures. The forward curved blades deliver the same volume of air at reduced RPM as the radial and backward inclined blades. The reduced RPM yields lower stresses in the wheel and allows operation at higher temperature for the same air volume specified. This series of fans has been developed and refined over the lifetime of the company and is suitable for continuous heavy duty applications. Depending on RPM, these fans can operate in temperatures up to 1780 ° F.
