Kytola Instruments' LR-5CL variable area flow meter is designed for applications such as gas and water purging, liquid and gas flow measurements, and sealing liquid monitoring. Variable area flow meters, also known as rotameters, are a type of differential pressure flowmeter that can measure the volumetric flow of liquids, gases, or steam. They work by using the variable area principle, where fluid flow raises a float in a tapered tube, increasing the area for the fluid to pass through. The height of the float is directly proportional to the flow rate, which can be read from a scale on or next to the tube.
